WARDOGS has no fixed classes — you buy your kit fresh each life, so "best class" really means best *method*. The biggest single hits come from Support IED work — hunting enemy spawn vehicles (~$15,000 for two IEDs) and FOBs (~$2,500 for one). The highest ceiling is the Pilot heli-taxi, stacking passenger, survival and assist pay. The safest reliable income is Medic/Recon support in the Hot Zone. The single best all-round method is parking support + logistics inside the Hot Zone, because it roughly doubles every payout at once. Chasing the kill feed pays worst. Profit = surviving with a cheap kit.
Why there is no "best money-making class"
WARDOGS does not have a class-select screen. You spawn at a vendor, buy a kit, and lose everything you bought when you die. Progression is split across six XP tracks (Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot), but any life can mix items from several tracks. So the question isn't "which class earns most" — it's which method earns most for the risk.
The economy answers that clearly: the game pays teamplay over the kill feed. Objective, support and logistics actions pay reliably; kills pay a small, largely undocumented amount and cost you your kit when you die. For how the underlying economy works, see how to make money.
The payout table (approximate — beta / patch 0.11)
These are community-reported beta figures, not an official table. Treat them as ballpark. In-game the real number flashes green or red next to your balance.
| Action | Payout | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Destroy enemy spawn vehicle (APC) | ~$15,000 | Needs 2 IEDs, placed and detonated separately. Largest single payout in the game. |
| Destroy enemy FOB | ~$2,500 (+~500 Support XP) | 1 IED destroys a FOB outright. |
| Build / complete a FOB or fortification | ~$1,200–$1,500 (+ Support XP) | Roughly $15 per hammer swing while building; placement reward ~$1,000. |
| Drive spawn vehicle (APC) into the zone | ~$3,000 on arrival + ~$250–$500 per teammate spawn | Keeps paying while the APC lives. |
| Pallet / supply delivery | +$2,500 on delivery, +$1,800 when teammates unpack | Kit cost ~$400. |
| Revive a downed teammate | ~$900 | Cheap kit, big reliable payout. |
| Transport a player to the zone | ~$500–$1,000 per passenger | +$500 if they survive, +$750 per kill they get. Car or heli. |
| Tagged / spotted-target kill | ~$800 | Mark an enemy, get instant cash plus an assist bonus if they die soon. |
| Heal / bandage action | ~$200 | Stacks up fast in a firefight. |
| Kills & assists (untagged) | Small, unspecified | Pays, but far less than objective or support work. |
| Zone / Hot Zone presence | "Hundreds of $/minute" (rate UNKNOWN) | Passive objective income. |
| Hot Zone multiplier | ~2× cash | Roughly doubles most activities inside the Hot Zone. |
| Team-kill | −$1,500 per player | Straight fine. Avoid friendly fire. |
Two supporting figures worth knowing: a binoculars vendor kit is about $75 (cheap Recon spotting), and the top-end money sink, an Artillery Tank, runs about $500,000. There is a temporary +5% end-of-match bonus on some community servers through late Sep 2026.
The destruction payouts are corroborated in our explosives research: spawn vehicle ~$15,000 (2 IEDs), FOB ~$2,500 (1 IED). One source also quotes $10,000 for an APC destroyed inside the control zone and $7,500 outside it — likely a zone-multiplier or patch difference. See the FOB guide for the demolition mechanics.
Best money-making playstyles, ranked
1. Support — IED spawn-vehicle & FOB hunting (biggest single hits)
Blowing an enemy spawn vehicle is the largest payout in the game at ~$15,000, and a FOB is ~$2,500. Nothing else comes close per action.
- Pros: Enormous single payouts. Denies the enemy their spawns, so it swings the match too. Feeds Support XP.
- Cons: Needs capital for IEDs and a spawn vehicle needs two of them, placed and detonated separately. You have to get behind enemy lines and survive long enough to plant. High-value but streaky.
- Skill / risk: High skill, high risk. Best once you can afford to lose a couple of infiltration attempts.
2. Pilot — heli-taxi (highest ceiling)
Helicopter transport has one of the highest money-making ceilings because it stacks passenger-drop pay, survival bonuses and per-kill assist payments on every run. A Little Bird roughly pays back its own cost per trip.
- Pros: Highest sustained ceiling of any method. A pilot who drops four players on the zone and lives out-earns almost anyone.
- Cons: Helicopters are expensive and a shot-down heli is a big cash loss. Demands real flying skill and map awareness.
- Skill / risk: High skill, high risk — but the most rewarding once mastered. See the helicopter guide.
3. Medic / Recon — support in the Hot Zone (safest reliable income)
Reviving (~$900), healing (~$200) and tagged-kill assists (~$800) layer up steadily with very little risk, especially inside the Hot Zone where they roughly double. This is the fastest *reliable* way to earn and the best starting point.
- Pros: Cheap kit, low risk, income every few seconds in a busy fight. Ideal for newer players.
- Cons: Lower ceiling than IED or heli work; you depend on your team being in the fight.
- Skill / risk: Low skill, low risk. The safe grind.
4. Driver — logistics grind (steady)
APC spawn-taxi (~$3,000 on arrival plus a per-spawn drip) and pallet runs ($2,500 delivery + $1,800 on unpack) give a dependable, unglamorous income stream.
- Pros: Consistent, low drama, useful to the team.
- Cons: Ground vehicles are vulnerable near the zone; a lost APC is a chunk of cash gone.
- Skill / risk: Medium skill, medium risk.
Quick comparison
| Method | Ceiling | Reliability | Skill | Risk | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Support IED hunting | Very high (single hits) | Streaky | High | High | Big one-off payouts, denying spawns |
| Pilot heli-taxi | Highest (sustained) | Good if you survive | High | High | Experienced players farming volume |
| Medic / Recon support | Medium | Very reliable | Low | Low | Newcomers, safe steady income |
| Driver logistics | Medium | Reliable | Medium | Medium | Dependable grind, team utility |
| Kill-chasing | Low | Poor | — | High | Nothing — it pays worst |
The single best all-round method
Park support + logistics inside the Hot Zone. Because the Hot Zone roughly doubles every payout, you can bank several income streams at once — zone presence, revives, heals, spotting assists and transport/APC-spawn pay — all at double rate. When you can afford the explosives, break off to run IED FOB or spawn-vehicle demolition for the big single hits. That combination beats any one method on its own.
Pure kill-chasing is the worst way to earn: untagged kills pay little, and dying wipes the kit you paid for.
What a good earning life looks like
Using the beta figures above, a single support-heavy life in the Hot Zone stacks up quickly. Two revives (~$900 each), a handful of heals (~$200 each) and a couple of tagged-kill assists (~$800 each) already clears a few thousand dollars — and the Hot Zone roughly doubles all of it — off a kit that costs a few hundred. Land one IED on a FOB in the same match (~$2,500) and you have covered days of vendor spending. That is the point: the cheap actions repeat every few seconds, the expensive kit does not.
Common money mistakes
- Buying a vehicle solo. A tank or heli with one person in it is a cash donation to the other two teams when it dies. Vehicles are a squad purchase.
- Chasing kills for money. Untagged kills pay a small, undocumented amount. Tag targets first for the ~$800 assist, or play the objective.
- Carrying a kit you cannot afford to lose. If a death sets your balance back badly, the kit was too expensive. Trim it.
- Friendly fire. Every team-kill is a −$1,500 fine — one careless grenade can wipe a good run.
- Ignoring the Hot Zone. Working outside it means earning at roughly half rate for the same effort.
Earning while you level up
Because XP is per-track and cash completes every unlock, the smart move is to pick a method that pays cash and feeds XP at the same time. Building and demolishing FOBs earns Support cash and Support XP together; reviving and healing earns Medic cash and Medic XP; spotting and tagging earns Recon cash and Recon XP. So the support and logistics methods above compound — every dollar you earn is also progress toward the next unlock, with no wasted effort. There is no penalty for switching roles between lives, so lean into whatever your team needs that round. See progression & XP for how the tracks add up.
The golden rule
Profit = surviving with a cheap kit. Cash is persistent — roughly $10,000 carries from match to match — so what matters is your net, not your gross. A cheap, reliable loadout you can afford to re-buy every life (a value primary, loose ammo, medium armour) beats an expensive kit that dies fast and empties your balance. Spend on things that survive, or on team assets that keep paying. For weapon and kit choices, see the weapons & armour guide.
Honest caveat — read this before you trust the numbers
BULKHEAD has not published an official reward table. Every figure above comes from community wikis reporting the beta / patch 0.11 economy, and several sites note the values are undisclosed and may have shifted for Season 1.
- The big-ticket numbers — ~$15,000 spawn vehicle (2 IEDs), ~$2,500 FOB, ~$800 tagged kill, −$1,500 team-kill — are corroborated across sources and match dev-confirmed facts.
- The mid-tier numbers — revive ~$900, heal ~$200, APC ~$3,000, pallet $2,500/$1,800, transport $500–$1,000 — are beta reporting and vary slightly between guides.
- UNKNOWN: the exact per-kill (untagged) cash payout, and the precise zone-presence $/minute rate (only "hundreds of dollars a minute" is quoted). Whether the Hot Zone doubles *every* payout or only most is also unconfirmed.
Use these as a guide to *what pays best*, not as exact accounting. The rankings hold even where the precise dollar figures move.
FAQ
What is the best money-making class in WARDOGS?
There are no fixed classes. The best earners are Support IED spawn-vehicle hunting for the biggest single hits, Pilot heli-taxi for the highest ceiling, and Medic/Recon support in the Hot Zone for the safest reliable income. Kill-chasing pays worst.
What pays the most in a single hit?
Destroying an enemy spawn vehicle (APC) pays roughly $15,000, but it needs two IEDs placed and detonated separately. Destroying a FOB pays about $2,500 for one IED.
What is the safest way to earn cash?
Support in the Hot Zone: revives (~$900), heals (~$200) and tagged-kill assists (~$800) stack up with low risk, and the Hot Zone roughly doubles every payout.
Do kills make good money?
No. Untagged kills pay a small, undocumented amount. Objective, support and logistics actions pay far more reliably, and dying loses your whole kit.
Are these payout figures official?
No. BULKHEAD has not published a reward table. These are approximate community figures from the beta / patch 0.11 and may have changed for Season 1.
